Bored at home, I randomly began to declutter our coffee table and came across an overdue cell phone bill. Cell phone companies in the States are notorious for their exorbitant fees so I quickly gathered my wallet and the bill and left for the nearest Taiwan Mobile. I hand the bill to the employee and doing my best to suppress and hide my anxiety, casually ask, "So what's the grace period before I have to start paying fees?"
"You will never be charged a late fee." he replied.
WHA....WHAT?! Is this too good to be true?! 
After doing a quick Google search, ladies and gentlemen, I'm happy to report that it's true! If you do not pay your cell phone bill within a month of the due date, you will receive text reminders and/or phone calls asking you to pay. If you still don't pay, they will eventually cut your line, after which you can just go to the store, pay the bill amount, and they will then reinstate your line. If you're really strapped for cash and can ditch your phone, then you may theoretically leave outstanding debt with the cell phone company without repercussion, except you won't be able to get a phone from that company until your debts are resolved and possibly bad karma because of your deeds.
